I hope to see each of you at the PGBA monthly meeting on Thursday April 20th, 2017 at The Civic Association. It is vital that we have active participation from all of our members. Also, we will be voting on the revised bylaws.
If you have not renewed your membership please do so. We need both your active and financial support to keep the organization healthy. We are in the middle of a process to refocus and re-energize this organization. This is an exciting time and we need your involvement and commitment.
If you represent a marine business I strongly urge you to consider marketing your business on our web page. The price is low (and includes your annual membership dues) and it demonstrates your support for the industry, recreational boating, and the community. As an added bonus, the weather station will soon be on line which will drive many more people to our web page. Putting your ad on our web page is not so much about advertising as it is about marketing… top of mind awareness.
We need every boating organization and every marine business to have a chair at the table within The Boaters Alliance. If you are not a member, join. If you know of an organizations or business who is not a member, ask them to become a part of this great collaborative effort.
I will be meeting, in a few days, with the City Manager of Punta Gorda and The CEO of Team Punta Gorda about the development of a strategic Plan for managing and developing our water/boating resources. I am hopeful that we will be able to form a very beneficial partnership. The more members/voters/businesses which The Boaters Alliance represents, the stronger our position will be.
The April General Meeting is Thursday, April 20th at 9AM.
